About
Fotograf Contemporary has a diverse range of works by the most interesting artists working with the fine art photography in the Czech Republic.
The purpose of the platform is to educate those interested in the value of original and fine art photography on how to make a purchase, what are concepts such as edition and certificate of authenticity, and most importantly to provide a welcoming and stimulating environment to become interested in photography and its fascinating world.
Based on years of experience we decided to offer those interested in investing in fine art photography the very best of the Czech art scene, both in terms of a curated selection of works by renowned photographers, the possibility of advice and consultations, and in terms of business potential and the mediation of the art market as an experience of an appropriate level.
Fotograf Contemporary is a partner project of the established organisation Fotograf (Fotograf Magazine, Fotograf Gallery & Fotograf Festival) and its activities build on its open perception of the medium of photography moving in the context of contemporary art from still photographic images to video to objects and installations. One of the goals of the Fotograf Contemporary is to financially support the above mentioned non-profit activities through sales so that their impartiality and ability to maintain a vibrant culture in the field of photography.

Markéta Kinterová
Markéta Kinterová has been working in the medium of photography from various positions. She had a number of solo and group exhibitions. She is the head of the Documentary Photography Studio at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) since 2016. She is the editor-in-chief of the Fotograf magazine and the director of the platform that covers also Fotograf Gallery and Fotograf Festival. For Fotograf Contemporary, she provides professional supervision and creates the portfolio of represented artists.
