The exhibition focuses on the photographic work of Libuše Jarcovjáková, who is known for her unique approach to photography as a medium that transcends many limits. The author has become known in particular for her authentic exploration of her own identity continuously throughout her life, from her teenage years to the present.
Through the creation of photography books in collaboration with the curator and publisher Lucie Černá, one can get a glimpse into the way of thinking about creation and its reflection through the dynamic collaboration of the two. Under the banner of Untitled publishing house, they have jointly published three successful books of Jarcovjáková's photographs, Evokativ, Supersonico and T-Club, which visually and content-wise reveal both known and hidden aspects of her work.
The Photographer exhibition will also present new color analogue photographs by Jarcovjáková, which are a continuation of her series entitled Rooms and Beds. This project represents that conceptual documentary level, where the artist has been systematically photographing the places where she sleeps since the early 1980s. The new images include not only "rooms and beds", but in some places the photographer also observes the related surroundings, thus trying to express that it is not only important to strictly record a given situation, but much more to be an integral part of it.
The showroom will feature selected works by the artist, available for purchase. Additionally, on the occasion of the exhibition, a special limited edition of one hundred selected photographs from the Rooms and Beds series will be available to the general public.

Libuše Jarcovjáková is currently one of the most influential and visible Czech photographers at home and abroad. In recent years she has received attention thanks to a number of international exhibitions, for example within the French Les Rencontres d'Arles.
Currently, her largest retrospective exhibition to date is taking place at the Veletržní Palace of the National Gallery. Recently, the film I'm Not Everything I Want to Be premiered, based purely on Libuše Jarcovjáková's still photographs and her voice commenting on the fateful moments of her life.
